Teha Combi Coal uses Fluidised Bed Combustion with state of-the art technology that is miles ahead of conventional chain grate stroke system. This is capable of burning any grade of coal, produces high thermal efficiencies, and its residual ash has a very low unburnt.

How It Works

Fluidised Bed Combustion accept fuel at any point and achieve complete mixing across the bed. This is due to the liquid nature of the bed resulting in instant heat release. Inbed tubes provide the heat transfer surface, ensuring a large amount of heat being extracted. This maintains the bed temperature and makes the boiler compact.



Features of Fluidised Bed Combustor:

  • The temperature of bed is uniform throughout, resulting in a complete combustion of fuel.
  • Homogeneous mixing of fuel and air results in low excess air requirement for combustion. This improves efficiency of combustion and reduces power consumption.
  • Combustion bed can be controlled since the bed behaves like a liquid, which can be drained at one point.
  • The fluidized bed retains very high amount of heat. It acts like a thermal flywheel and can release heat instantly during peak requirement.
  • No generation of Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) since the combustion takes place below 900 oC.
  • High turbulent inbed facilitates quick startup and shutdown.
